The planets are a 3ds max render then composited in Photoshop as a background element. :)

is everyone using VRAY or just the scaline?

Set up a motion for the ship (for example with splines as the path) and do a composite render within max of say 3 render takes on consecutive frames, that's how I did this one:

Easy is the path to wisdom for those not blinded by themselves.

ill have to dig out the ol textbook to re-learn a few of the animation tricks.
one thing i do admit, having THIS around:



has made life GREAT since im taking a crack at character modeling... again.

Where can I get one of them? I learn a lot better with books than on the internet for some reason. This 3d modelling thing has me stumped.

the internet has been useful, just not much that explains the VRay engine how i can understand it... i love how it made that edge glow on my sword.

i cant even think how to pull that off with the scanline renderer outside of setting up ALOT of lights.  :idk:

Was playing around doing more pics in 3d max, and Baz said i should include his Dady, so i did, After i rendered a 21min scene i decided thanks to Killallewoks to try saving each bit out seperatly as a png file so i could play around with it in photosho, the bottom image is my final result :D
