heres a quick update as to the goings on in my universe:

with a bit of fiddling with the hair modifier to nail down a decent guide on my main character to do this:

http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/CreatingHairUsingAlpha.html#Overview.

once i get these two textured and rigged, i can start building my "training room" for basic game functions.
ill have these two beating the piss out of each other by the end of the year!
I came, i saw, i added a Sig.
Later gents, i have Youtube to take over.

Looking good, I wish you good luck when it comes to rigging those models to a skeleton and getting the skinning of the mesh perfect.  :funny

i studied and mimicked the modeling method from the characters proveded in UDK (unreal tournament character)

ive some experience with skinning, anybody remember this little baby from WAY back in the day?

Awesome Killa! I would make the lasers a little thicker but otherwise it looks great! :D

Here's a new still from me. Simpler than a few of my past shots, but elegant nonetheless.

That render looks nice, but you could tone down the ship glows.

Nice!

Also, noticed you used Phoenix's 1701 rather than your own.

Actually, Phoenix wanted me to render him a picture with both his TOS Enterprise and my NX-Refit.

Excellent render Wiley, only one small criticism. In the credit to passing the touch you credit Doug for the NX. Where is Matt Jeffries credit for the Connie.

I gave him the max file when I did my original picture. Downside is that there is no diversity in the renders. They are all the same angle, lighting, and background.

Considering everyone is in a TOS mood here's an experiment using Mental Ray.
