I would love to see a starbase in the Pleiades, that's a fantastic scene.

That is more than 400 lighyears away...It really feels like a lonely outpost far from the Federation
Beautiful.

Beautiful picture. Just perfect.
Speaking of distance, do you think that the Federation would build that type of Station so far away?

In First Contact, Picard says the Federation is 8,000 light years across
In VOY:Relativity, the Class 9 warp core could go 3 years without refueling.
And considering the fire power of Deep Space Nine...

It would be prudent to construct these stations as cities of refugee for trade routes and outlining exploration vessels like the USS Titan to refuel as well as to direct Flight Control and Early Threat Detection control centers.  I wouldn't place one in every sector but one Orbital City could control a 3D Grid of 200-500 light years.  I assume this was how the Borg Cube in First Contact was detected even though it was beyond the Federation Border.

----
Bashir,
Is this all done in Bridge Commander?

I'm testing out this website called Sketchfab where you can host your 3D models and simply view them. This will be perfect to present my 3D game models. Here is my USS Enterprise from Star Trek: The Motion Picture:

Very interesting new site, Wiley, and thanks for link.

Here's DS9 Ops as curious to see how might work with architectural models.  Not sure as good as ship models, but will leave up for few days for feedback before decide if delete  :)

I got a Dell Inspiron all in one. I got the big one with 27" touch screen monitor, I7 processor, 16 Gig Ram 1Tb HDD and 2Gb Graphics card.

My main requirement was for a PC to aid my 3D animation work as my old machine was 5 years old and took ages to render anything desent.

Your not the only one sorting out a new rig. All I need is a better processor for mine and I'm all set. Can still render with it as it is right now though. I currently have a 1920x1080 3d  interlaced version of this as my desktop pic for my passive 3d monitor.

Be kind! My first proper render, and I still have no clue as to what I did to get it
