Star Trek: The Commercial Frontier
« on: May 16, 2009, 10:16:32 AM »
While surfing Forbidden Planet (and quietly cursing at them for being untrustworthy whatnames), I found Romulan Ale. I had to look and well, see for yourself. Romulan Ale

Quarks bar in the old Star Trek Experience used to sell Romulan Ale beer.

There are quite a few Star Trek drinks out there if ya look.
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

It's legal in this universe. Check the link. :)

i'd certainly buy some!
altho i imagine shipping a 6-pack over the Atlantic Ocean would be rather expensive and might not be worth the cost in total  lol

edit - i just found this http://www.toywiz.com/startrekenergydrink.html for $3.99 but the shipping itself is $5.99 and i surely do not feel like paying $10 a can lol
looking around, there are other places that arent too expensive tho, especially if you buy it by the case...

Bah, make your own bottles and put blue gatorade in them. This movie is getting very commercial-intensive.

"Use Nokia! James T Kirk does!"
"Books are not canon, only what you see on screen. Yes, even the horrible Voyager episode where they go past warp 10 and have crazy lizard babies."

Are you kidding? Star Trek has always had a commercial side to it.

"Use Nokia! James T Kirk does!"

What Kirk said. It would be illogical. What, I can't say that line?

Might as well turn this thread into "Star Trek: The Commercial Frontier", just to post about the stuff thats gone out.

And in case you only thought it was Shatner who was the commercial guy:

Lol at those. But those were not from actual episodes or movies. Young Kirk very clearly has a Nokia handsfree display in his uncles car.

Although I can envision coca-Cola endorsing Star trek.

Picard: Computer! Earth cola, iced.
Computer: Please specify formula.
Picard: Formula "C" (Under Breath: "There is only one after all"
Computer: Processing

A classic coca-cola shaped glass appears and Picard takes a sip.

Picard: Mmmmmm.... refreshing, like no other drink in the galaxy!

LOL
