Is it font or angle an light?
Pretty sure it's the font, looks at the side ortho in the last image.

The font on the nacelles IS wrong, but it's a quick fix, should be the same font as the registry on the engineering hull(both under the deflector and under the shuttlebay).

EDIT: Also, I LOVE that open shuttlebay shot!

Not a quick fix as the font is not in the public domain. The bottom hull and shuttle bay reg had to be drawn from scratch.

Really? You are not looking hard enough. It doesn't hurt to ask, because there is a good change I may have the font (or something really close to it).

Here's the font, it is called "Fear Factor" (I also typed NCC-1701 for reference)- http://www.dafont.com/fear-factor.font?text=NCC-1701

Enjoy!  :D

Until I see the mesh for myself, this is probably your best work yet.

Here are a couple of wire frames. I can see now that I'm done I could have saved a few polys in the saucer but I'm happy with it the way it is :)

That font is much better  :)
Just out of interest, have you tweaked the bussards for that last image? The darkness/colour looks better there than the clearer look in the earlier renders.

Oh.  Well.  Sorry. :(

New font looks much better.  Bit tall, but at least it looks right now and that's the important thing.

I'll echo everyone else's sentiments; definitely your best so far

On a side note that wire frame would look awesome in a rotating animation, a bit like the DVD menu!

I hate the ship but the work is stellar.
This would look good on the cover of a tech manual or one of those posters that shows cut out of the ship in perspective views.

Gotta say, it's a sad day when the work of a 3d modeler online looks better than an actual painted model kit...

The ones from the company/factory used for promotional purposes always look like crap (AMT/Ertl for example). Just wait until it is available and the true modelers get to it. Expect aftermarket parts, decals, and lighting kits.

And maybe a few homegrown innovations? (InPayne's kitbashes come readily to mind.)
