ROM contest- FC Miranda
« on: May 24, 2009, 08:14:47 PM »
I'm not good at retexturing bridges from scratch, so this was a cut and paste job from the First Contact Refit Excelsior bridge. There are some things like the LCARS and some panels to alter so that it is a Miranda Class ship. Enjoy! :)

Plus, there was a Miranda class seen in the fleet battle in First Contact.

Good luck. My bridge entry is the exact same thing (with the exact same idea) but I have to rebuild it after the HDD crash. Good luck with the lightmaps in the ceiling, that part is a pain in the ass. Bones might have some suggestions since his lightmap is fairly tame (I'm asking him, anyways) :P.

I love it but it seems too similar to the FC Excelsior bridge. I know the big difference is the helm/ops console and the lack of alcove at the rear of the bridge but just quickly glancing at it you could mistake it for the FC Excelsior bridge.

But I love it!

I'm getting there. All I have left is to fix the back panel for the Master Systems Display, red alert bars, the View Screen, and a few other miscellaneous things.

Is one of the miscellaneous things recolouring the status display to match the FC color scheme?

The downside of that is not knowing if your ship is going to critical or not, but I see your point. Overall, the retexture is complete. :)

Not necessarily. You could use the same light purple (dare I say, almost lilac) color from the MSD and simply and in small red/ yellow colored sections as the ship takes on more damage.

I fixed the chairs by adding more detail. I also altered the shield display so different areas of the ship will look like they are taking damage.

It looks very nice. You should try to make the shield display resemble data's console from Nemesis

It's time for me to give you a cookie Wiley. I really like the tactical display. Seeing that makes me smile.

The new shield display is up and running. It looks like there is an error whenever the ship takes damage, the shields display shows the upper and lower shield quadrants being completely lowered- this is the same with the regular Miranda bridge.

Thanks everyone! :) I would really like to know how to fix the shield display. I also just realized that I'm probably "disqualified" from the ROM contest since most of the retexture work came from the FC Excelsior bridge and not made from scratch.
