Question about mod relese ,I need some advice

A question about credits and permissions you need in order to relese a mod or a patch as I have made a patch for kobiashi maru 1.0 mod that includes TOS era, TMP era, Enterprise era, and STxi ships all cannon. I want to relese this to the public after its done with full permisions. I would guess permissions for ships would be a first, but what about Kobiashi maru ? Do I need there ok to do this if its a unofficial patch? This is my first Multiplayer Mod, anyone have any Advice for me on how to relese it ?
