Borg Queens Lair
« on: October 19, 2009, 02:57:42 PM »
Hi

Not sure if you remember this project. has been ongoing on and off for many years now.

Pretty happy with the Model, textures and lighting. Will be a few tweeks here and there once lightmapped.

So, are your recently revived bridge models making a BC debut or are you just wetting our apetites for Excalibur some more? Either would be great!

Nice job by the way. It'll go great with the Borgified Sovereign bridge.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

I always found Borg interiors (including the assimilated guts of Federation starships) to be really scary. This confirms that effect nicely.

It'll be awesome to finally have a real Borg interior. Question: How will you be doing the crew positions? Have them working some of the consoles on the wall? Standing in alcoves and working with their thoughts like drones? Either would still be cool...

it needs more of a green glow in it  :)

the model work is AMAZING but i think that a glow of some kind would make it look more accurate

You're all wrong :P While it's not lightmapped, all that is is the process of burning the lights (and thus, shadows) onto texture files. The set is, however, all lit. So the final ingame product is going to look like those renders.

hey guys thanks for the comments.

Limey is correct for the most part, however there are some modifications that i will be making to the lightmaps, which will improve how it looks ingame. this will be for BC when i have time to finish the LMs and conversions.

Hi Sean,

Not sure if you got the messages I sent on MSN but I think the problem lies with the animations. I still have max 3.1 sitting on a backup HDD somewhere so if you send me all the max files related to the bridge I will find time to check things over - it may simply be a problem with the exporter settings.

You know my email address :)
