depends on where your at.  i know where I'm at, anything below 15 F gets people worried (the average for January where I'm at is right at freezing)  the temperatures your describing are Alaskan (or Minnesota in a WARM winter :P).  for where Jimmy's at, yes, that's rather unusual, being costal, he's in a warmer climate zone than I am.
im from the middle of Finland :)

another major storm is on the way!  lol

this one is going to be epic, literally...  2/3s of the entire US is going to be nailed by this one...  blizzard in Chicago and northern areas, major ice storm in the central US, a severe tstorms and tornados likely all the way down to the Gulf Of Mexico - and all points east to the Atlantic...   this one is a rare storm...
doesnt look like major snow for us this time around when it comes into this area, mostly an ice storm; but still snow should pile up a bit here...  hopefully not too much tho...

Weather guys here say that we'll be hit with at least two different storm fronts here in Massachusetts over the next week. I'd leap for joy (and in total sarcasm), but I have a bum knee and a bad back. *grin*

You know, given whats happening in other parts of the world right now, I'm not sure you Americans are really in a position to complain about your weather!

How do you figure?

Well all of Australia has been utterly devestated by floods, and you're all complaining about a few inches of snow?

we know this... that is horrid yes... no need to get so twisted in a knot about it.

also... about our little complaint in the US...

It's more than a few inches and this storm is the largest in US history.... impacting 1/3 of the population.
