(Hopefully) First full ship: Whale-probe

I know some people already did the whale-probe, but I'm going to do it anyway. I heard it was a good first ship to make. I have the cylinder, but do I create another for the tractor, cut and extrude, or something else?

Lol that was mine first ship as well, tho I got stuck with alpha maps not showing up at all  :roll it's pretty basic for beginners.
So you have cylinder already then you have to make sphere and another cylinder or 2 crossing planes holding the sphere although I heard the best way is to make a cylindric holder instead of planes ;)
