BC supermod iffy textures

Ive just installed the supermod and some of the textures are squiffy, on the galaxy class the bit where the ship reg is is stretched and the deflector dish is all grey, the rest of the ship looks great and some ships have no probs...anyone know what this is?

you need to enable the skinning and damaging tool mutator.

it was enables, all the mutators were enabled, still iffy on some ships, ive tried replace the ships but i still get the one with the iffy textures

edit: actually i dont think the mod has replaced the skins properly, with or without the mutators on the galaxy still has iffy textures, ive installed the mod twice

try installing the 3.1 patch, if that still isn't working, download the latest version of the Skinning and Damaging tool.

I think I know what the issue is. Are you 100% certain you followed Supermod's installation instructions to the letter? Because if you did, you shouldn't even have the stock textures in your installation.

yup, installed BCMI and BCMP, ran the prepare exe, then the prepare.bat then the supermod exe

the other new ships work ok

it is a patched game, would that make a difference?

yeah the issue here is an improperly installed BC/Supper mod... what's happening is the SDT is getting messed up.

Old thread but I'm having the exact same issue, I've reinstalled everything fresh and followed the instructions to the letter, still got those crappy gray textures.

Try manually installing the correct registry textures.  You'll find them in your BC root directory under "Data/Models/SharedTextures".
