I brought the XYZ Da Vinci 1.0 A
its great machine. just printing off a few thing ie space dock, right now I am printing off 25cm long Nelson in a kit form, then I am going to sort out the Adder class it will be avible for BC and then I can save the file as a STL for printing.

What you been printing off ?
As soon I as can remember I will have to post pic or 2

Wow, have to say this it pretty cool. You should make a fleet, to scale, base it off the biggest ship you can print, maybe a Cube or Spacedock :)

I wonder how much it will cost if you (cinqnic) if you were to build one of my ships if I send you a 3D file and to mail it back?

What are the size dimensions?

Awesome!
is there alot of tweaking needed on the model before it prints?
I was going to get shapeways to do my SS MASON NX-266 but was stalled as there were issues with my model.

Congratulations... bet you were well pleased with the results

Hi yes by all means send it over it can be Nif file type ( thats bridge commander file type) or OBJ file type
my build plate is 20x20x20cm
the cost i find is not that much its the time lol

yes just building the daultless A in 3 bigger parts right now i show pic once done.

How I build my 3d ships

1, I use Milkshape3d to build the ship itself
2, Export the ship as a OBJ.file type
3, Then open it up in a free promgram called Netfabb basic, this repairs errors and tells me if anything is wrong with the model it self.
4, Then open up my printer software what does all the rest.

Because I use Milkshape any BC ship, station or bridge ( still trying to get the bridge working) I can print off.

It would probably print faster if the models were hollow, or semi hollow, also conserving material as well.. not sure will the printer print hollowed out objects? Of course, that makes them a bit more fragile too.. but cuts your time and cost significantly
