AI warp issue
« on: May 19, 2010, 09:43:13 PM »
I've been experiencing a strange phenomenon in which friendly, non-Federation AI-controlled vessels will warp away at the start of every QB. This occurs even with AI auto-warp unchecked in Mutators. I have KM 2009.
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
 We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
 One equal temper of heroic hearts,
 Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
 To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

I think it has something to do with Galaxy Charts AI overtaking the Ship and warping to the nearest enemy System.
AFAIK Disabling GC should solve that.

Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

I've always had the opposite problem. The AI enemy ships don't warp away, even with the new beta. The second thing I also just noticed
was my ship won't decloak when clicking the mouse button to fire.

umm the ships never decloaked when hitting the fire button in BC... you always had to decloak first then fire. (unless you choose a fire while cloaked ship)

You could be right about that Nebula. :eek Maybe I was thinking about a different game, but what about the enemy AI not warping away?  :cry:
I turned off AI shuttle launch, and AI abandon ship to limit it to just warping, but that didn't help either.

it doenst fix the issue but it may help a little bit: the ships alwqays warp to starbase 12 because they think its a hostile station. i already had that dozens of times always my fleet moving away going for that stupid starbase. only help is warping after them.

i remember an old story from Km 1.0 where i left a enemy ship behind after destroying its warp engines and then i got to ds9 for repairs. as soon as i got there every ship of the ds9 system warped away to destroy that crippled ship i left behind. even ds9 itself warped away.

In GC War Simulator assimilates all ships into it and overrides their AI. In the case of DS9FX, you must always make sure to install Xtended after GC. There are some certain things in Xtended system plugins which make sure that GC ignores Xtended ships.
