GDDR5 is part of the GFX card... the motherboard shouldn't care...

I'd get an ATI 5850 or similar. Those new Nvidia chips are just too hot and power hungry for the performance advantage.

And as for the GDDR5, it is part of the gfx card and not the mobo.  The mobo has zilch contact with the graphics ram. Everything going to that ram via the mobo goes through the GPU so the mobo's speed (or lack there of) will have no effect.

eh if it's nvidia the drivers should be the same... though you may just want to install new drivers afterwards.

That's a complete crock of crap....They need to repeal that law or I won't go anywhere near there (my in-laws live near Leesburg)

Get the 1024 MB version. The GTX 768 not only has less memory but also lower pixel fillrate and bandwidth. Prices should go down now the new 6870/6850 cards have been released.

ATI HD GFX Cards are better. NVidia cards just sucks. its drivers never come updated and it?s control panel takes an eternity to open.

My nVidia control panel takes around 2 seconds to open; maybe it's just you?

Just a note, my nVidia GT220 somehow manages to run EVE online at max graphics (Minus HDR) at 60FPS and never slows down/overheats. How is this possible?

A good computer perhaps?
