Hyperspace textures

i recently picked up a Stargate ship pack to play with, and had wondered why i couldn't get ships to head for other systems.  after reading through the pack's paperwork, I realized i forgot to turn on the included Slipstream mod, adapted for use with the pack for hyperspace engines.  after fiddling a bit, I realized that there's only a couple textures for Hyperspace.

I was thinking about making a texture pack of Hyperspaces based on the designs used on almost all other sci-fi series.  however, I can't find good refrences that are relatively clean for anything but Babylon 5's.  can you guys help me, here?
