Though I am curious as to whether that line would've been included had Nimoy turned down voicing Sentinel Prime.

Wrong.  She criticized Michael Bay's directing and compared him to Adolf Hitler.  Stephen Spielberg learned of this and urged Bay to throw her skanky arse off the set.

Plus, any actress who says (paraphrasing) "I'm the reason that the Transformers movies were successful" is too arrogant.

And I heard it was more than once too.

ah, well now it makes sence. ive heard that shes a notorious bitch.

And a general mindless airhead aswell. Nice to look at, yes but once that mouth starts moving I want to vomit.

Any way in TF4 Unicron will show up and turn Sentinal into Galvatron, who will blast Megatron to atoms.

Well, we already know that if there is going to be another movie its obviously going to be with different people all around. Bay has said so multiple times.

And I think if they do Unicron, then it needs to be in a universe closer to the original Transformers.  I think an uber-detailed quasi-realistic Unicron in the Bay-bot style would be the cause of some suicides over at ILM.  Especially when it came time to scale the damn thing.

they won't change Unicron, much, if he's used.  according to everything I've read, there is only one Unicron and Primus (the GOOD half) across the Transformer's multiverse.

mabey this time they'll actually use Spike instead of Sam

I just loved that poor Lieutenant Colonel Lennox got his wife and daughter mentioned in the first movie, and then promptly forgotten about in the 2nd and 3rd.  The guy does as much as the main characters and he gets relegated to generic-army-guy.

And I think pussy black guy was just a friend of Epps.

All-in-all though...I don't think anyone could blame Optimus Prime for losing his cool in this movie.  He had a really shitty week.  First he finds out that Shockwave has arrived on Earth, then that the US government has been covering up the knowledge of the Ark on the moon, then that Sentinel Prime has struck a deal with Megatron and betrayed the Autobots, then that his closest friend Ironhide was destroyed, then the United States decides to send the Autobots packing to save their own skins, then he has to pretty much order Cybertron's death to save Earth.  No wonder he just snapped and tore Megatron's head off with that axe.

Well, The Island is his film as well, so you can't really fault him for it.  He apparently did this with the first Transformers and Pearl Harbor as well.

Actually, this wasn't a case of "oops, we don't have enough money in the budget."  While they were filming the highway chase scene, one of the extras was badly injured and is now paralyzed.  So Paramount was in the spot of "Well, we can't use that footage now, anybody got an idea?"

still, recycling footage from other films feels just a cheap shot.

Lionus, they didn't really have a choice.  They were basically legally bound to NOT use the footage that they spent all that money on, so you've got to do something.  For what they had to do, you have to admit that ILM made it look good.

Wasn't a great fan of this movie to be honest. Certainly better than Revenge Of The Fallen, in terms of both CGI and story, but the ending felt too convenient (Shockwave, Sentinel Prime and Megatron died way too easily).

Doesn't beat the first movie though. ;)
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

You think the movie's ending was convenient?  You should read the comic/novel ending.

Seems awesome at first, Prime and Megs teaming up to finish off Sentinel...

But then Megatron says, "I surrender.  I...I'm tired of fighting."

And then Optimus lets him go.  After all Megatron has done, Optimus Prime just lets him go away.
