Trailers galore!
« on: December 23, 2011, 02:39:37 PM »
Chronicle

A trio of high school friends find something in a fresh underground cave and eventually develop powers. Though one of the friends takes it too far and starts all kinds of mayhem and his two friends have to stop him.

Battleship

An alien fleet is discovered hiding not so far from Hawaii and is awakened by multi-national wargames. Before long it becomes a fight for control of the whole world. Also, they are not so un-human like since they come from a similar planet to ours and there are two types of them the scientists and the ones referred to as "Thugs".

GI Joe: Retaliation

I know what you're thinking "oh god really!?" but just hold on and just watch it. Remember how in the first movie that the President was replaced a Cobra agent? Well he orders the death of the entire Joes force for "treason" though three survive(Dwayne Johnson being one) and start to build a new team to take him done. Bruce Willis also shows up like a boss. Its already better than the first.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

He ends up in East Europe. Baddies will be owned in the most awesome ways. Hes on the run from the Devil himself who is on the verge of taking on a new and much more powerful form(a young boy the rider needs to protect). Also Nick Cage pees fire!!!

The Dark Night Rises

The epic be all end all in awesome IMAX. Bane causes mayhem and Catwoman makes things complicated for Bruce. The batmobile is now dressed in camo and he has some new cool toys as usual.

Wrath of the Titans

Many of the Titans are released upon the world and start causing all kinds of chaos.

Prometheus

Important questions get answered and the possible end of humanity is discovered about 80 years from now.

Underwoldd: Awakening

Selene is awakened to find that the humans have discovered the war between Vampires and Lycans and is hunting them all down. Also, a (hybrid?) child escapes from the humans that holds the key to both the Lycans and Vampires survival.

Needs a correction.  It's not "the" Batmobile that has camo.  Those are Bane's.  Batman still has black Batmobiles, black Batpods, and a black Bat-jet-VTOL thingy.

Gotta disagree, I'm definitely getting the right vibe from her thus far.  And I had my doubts about Shinzon as Bane, not just because of...well, Shinzon, but I was worried about how Bane was going to be portrayed.  No more doubts.  They got him right.

Agree with the second facepalm.

Liam Neeson isn't even sixty yet. That's not old. Christopher Lee, Ed Asner, Bill Shatner - THEY'RE old.

Yeah I always thought Neeson is around mid-forties, maybe closer to fifty but not sixty

He turns sixty next June. He definately looks good for his age.

I'm somewhat excited but mostly disappointed.  The "Nazis from space" concept is actually a really good one.  A film or TV series made about it has a serious opportunity to examine social issues plaguing mankind both past and present, but I'm sad that Iron Sky is going the parody/comedy/mockbuster route.  Not only that, but the fact that they feel a need to lampoon Sarah Palin really irks me.  I don't like her or her policies, but she's just another politician who uses the same tools and tricks as all others.  Since it is an independent European film, they're just going to broaden the gulf between both sides, reinforcing the ignorant, racist, rabble-rousing "God and country" American stereotype on the one end and the snobby, elitist, pretentious, glorified "socially evolved" European stereotype on the other.

Uhhh...is that supposed to be a serious movie?  Cause...I can't take that seriously.

I've been against a Spider-Man reboot since I first heard of it and I've been determined to NOT like it...but this trailer...wow.  It changed my mind.

Made by the same guys who made "Star Wreck in the Pirkinning" IIRC.
