The Exeter is sent to BCFiles and awaiting for review, now, back to buisness, gonna start working on the Vendetta later today, should be a walk in the park ;)

I presume the ship is about the size of Defiant and has 4 (5th being only torpedo launcher / crawlway) decks right ???

Would you do me a HUGE favor - when u get to making the hull lines etc and main part of the texture would you record it ?? i use http://camstudio.org/ for all my screen recordings - just ur getting thought ur textures so quickly and i would LOVE to be able to do it too - i can sort you out a general area of an FTP to upload it too if that was ok? then maybe u could stick it in the tutorial area here too

I've always seen it as six actually.  Hold up, lemme whip up a deck scale...

Alright, so with the added scale, I've got... seven decks with a short eighth deck below the saucer as part of the nose assembly.  I'm actually working on an MSD for it as well.

ah ok then, 7 decks it is :)

Top side is half way to finish, just need to put panelling to the impulse engines, then typicall stuff like transporter pads, esc pods, hatches etc. etc. then next step will be ventral side :)

Oh and I'll certainly try to record how I'm detailing textures, mostly it's about 1000 clicks per 5 minutes :P I'm simply using vector drawing tool (point-to-point) then floodfill tool to give it distinctive colour/hue, occasionaly using 3d filter for all those escape pods/transporter/sensor pads ;)

The panelling itself is largely fine.  The colors, though...  It feels a bit too much Star Trek Online-y at the moment.  I've always intended the Vendetta to be more of a 2370's, 2380's style ship.  More of a Sovereign type texture scheme.  Right now you've got a lot of teal going on.  Also, in my original sketch, I had a Starfleet chevron with trail along the top of the nose/warhead.  Also the... circular things... in front of the impulse engines aren't reactor domes or whatever.  I was thinking of putting something like a fleet logo there.  Some simple panelling and a Starfleet chevron would work well for now.

Definitely much better.  Now, just a couple more changes...

1.  Shuttle bay landing guides should be more like the 2370's standard.  See below:

2.  Starfleet chevrons in front of impulse engines are not pointing forward, but I'm sure you've noticed that. :P

3.  Transporter strip on the warhead.  Can you move it to the sides on the medium gray panelling?  It's sort of detracting from the forward chevron and its trail.

...and then you're free to continue making it how you see fit. ;)

If you feel like working on both versions, I suppose you can.  It's really your decision in the end, just depends on whether you want to spend the time or not I guess.

As for the shuttlebay, you can make the brown part more gray so it matches better.  I was more or less concerned with the yellow part.  The previous version was a bit too intense.

STO version could be the Vendetta, but perhaps the more canon version could be called Mjolnir, since the top view reminded me of Thor's hammer from Norse mythology..

Perhaps you shouldn't copy that beige color for the landing pad.. You're making a starship, not Toyota Camry.  :funny
