Me: mine [my bridges] would probably be simple to get the characters to use.  the only person that sits is the captian.

intentionally, RGB was left on purpose too ;)

As I said in FSB thread, alphas add up 1 mb to 1024 map which is really insignificant while I could confirm on at least one PC speculars weremore... lets say  :) shiny :), RGB was left to add a little bit of teal-blue metallic shine to the hull.

Insignificant for you guys that DON'T have a stock graphics card :P
never looked at the KM stockers, have you? one of the klingons is left with it's colored bits intact on the specs.
oh, this makes something like my eighth Destroyer Escort in my install.  if I could make good edit mode screenies...

A lot of "just 1mb" speculars files can add up.

No offense to lower end system users, but if we include lower quality textures for everything, for the majority of players it'll be pointless.  If the large textures are such an issue, just download GIMP and manually resize it.  It's not that difficult and it doesn't take long.  Shoot, I'll make a tutorial.

Sorry guys but I'm not gonna limit myself, I already made speculars half the size of diffuse map but I clearly said in FSB Shipyards thread I'm gonna leave RGB for colored speculars and Alpha Channels simply because (at least what I believe it was) they appeard more contrasted and I showed the picture for proof back on FSB thread so I don't understand you guys, last comments are all about how speculars suck because they're big or that I left A_CH on them.

I'm sorry if you feel disappointed or offended with my post but try to understand me, I could opt for crispy speculars but I wanted to give you chance to run it so I made them smaller, now you want me to push it down even more.

So no, I did not forgot to cut alpha channels and I most definitely did not forgot to turn speculars grey-scale, speculars as you see them now were done on purpose.

I really didn't want to sound like an ass but seriously, enough is enough, if I said several times I intentionaly left them on then I guess I don't have to be reminded on every occasion about it.

Again I'm deepely sorry if I offended anyone here, that is not my intention, just want to make it clear.

And in case my last post wasn't very clear, I'm with Bones on this.  His texture work is simply some of the most beautiful stuff I've seen in BC, and there's no sense dulling it down for a few low end comps.

I'm not protesting.  you said right away it was on purpose.  besides, i auto resize when needed...and Valiant didn't need it!

No need to apologize Bones. You have a valid point in your decision and it's appreciated and respected.
