Hi all,

This is my first thread here, so just wanted to say 'hi' and show my latest pride and joy, the USS Hyperion. I intended her to look like a next-gen Excelsior type cruiser with an experimental hyperdrive unit. I'd love to see this model in the game, but I have no idea about how to convert it to a game-usable file. Any pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I'd go so far as to say that the model may -need- the rollbar to look... well, functional. Beyond that, I do like it. This model seems like it could easily be kitbashed into a post-TNG Oberth.

Cheers guys. I made this shot for Saquist - he's always preferred the 'rollbar' version of the ship and gave me a lot of help and advice on the design. This one's for you bud.

Nice design either way. Persoally, I prefer it without the role bar. Good stuff.

Cheers, I've been fortunate enough to receive a fair amount of feedback and honestly, it's a 50/50 split between those who like the rollbar and those who don't, hence why I released both versions. ;-)

Calamity have you ever thought about modding yourself?
This model could easily be converted to 3DS MAS format to work on...and you clearly know how to handle textures.

Saquist it's a shame that we don't live on the same street mate. I could give you tutorials on Sketchup and you could show me how to convert files, because I haven't got the foggiest! Lol! Time is actually my biggest issue at the moment as I'm getting married in a couple of weeks. Till then it's all hands to battle stations lol!

There is a way and it's easy.
I know a site that does these conversions...It's how I got my TCS Midway model into 3DS Max...

Well... It isn?t a clean and error free conversion, but these are renderings from 3dsmax 9.

Calamity: if you allow and if somebody is interested, I can make the unfinished conversion available, cause I?m withou time on my hands to finish her. ;)

hey, obvious, you finally noticed that some people have a nack, did you? i had to put up with that in the 90's with "One Quarter Geniuses" who'd walk a video game on the first try and call it boring...on European extreme!

glad to see someone else getting utterly PWNED by younger generations!

Lol! I'm 32 boys...not feeling part of the 'younger generation' lol! I'd love to see this released as well. Pictures are one thing but to see her warping around and shooting stuff would be amazing!
