MadJohns 'Real Space Objects v1' Issue
« on: March 02, 2007, 08:43:51 PM »
http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Real_Space_Objects;76333

Whenever I try to load my game using the Cassini Saturn Probe as the player ship or the A.I controlled ship, my game crashes back to my desktop with the annoying 'would you like to send an error report to Microsoft?' dialog box. It also happens when I try to load everything else in the pack as player ships but it doesnt happen when they are A.I controlled ships.

I have MVAM and SubMenu v3.7 installed. MVAM is turned on in the mutator menu.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to fix it?
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

I admit I don't know a lot of HPing (I'll ask Elminster), but the hardpoints don't appear to have any camera "views".
Which could be the problem.

Also, I get the feeling these ships aren't meant for player use.
If they indeed aren't, then you should send an e-mail to MadJohn asking him to remove them from the player menu's (easy enough to do btw, just commenting out the "if playerMenuGroup:     Foundation.ShipDef...." part).
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

That's very likely the problem, no camera's then no information for player views.
Although without looking at the HP I couldn't tell you if there's anything else missing.

You could try copying the main views from another ship HP if you really want to play it in game.

I believe this was mentioned here.
They weren't intended to be used as player ships.

In that case, something is seriously wrong with it.

See if the comments yeild anything.
And if not, contact Mr. John.

I still think this is more meant for System builders than for actually playing.
