Great tutorial there Kill. I have developed a method too pretty similar to yours but I make my ship invisible

Any idea why sometimes friendly ships don't fire?

Very nice tutorial again! I think this has to do like you said with the arc, sensor range(too close? damage it self perhaps?) With these movies, i hope people will realize how time consume screenshot taking is!

No encountered that myself in my latest picture. The Endeavour fired but the Incom class didn't

EDIT - I have been trying to figure out a solution. I set up an Excelsior class ship against a Dominion Battlecruiser, nothing happened after I made the battlecruiser an enemy so I went to the fleet orders section of the helm station and picked 'attack my target' then suddenly the Excelsior burst into life. Haven't tried it on a fleet yet

Ah! I orderd the fleet to fire and nothing happened so you may have to order each ship individually then.

I think I have solved it!

I took a small fleet against a borg cube. I transported to each ship but before disabling engines etc I went to green alert then back to red alert on each ship.

Set up everything as normal. Then ordered the fleet to attack my target. Was a delay of a few seconds but they all did. But so hard trying to capture them all firing but I took some screenies which I'll post in the other thread

Are you remembering to press 'p' and cycle through the placements using the 'select next' and 'select  previous' tabs?
