I'm having a couple of issues with the BoP's. The same disruptor location trouble as other people. Plus the wings don't move; they're always in a horizontal position. :(
I double checked I have ftech, Any ideas?
Hmm, I wonder if you could'a got Bad download, standby. I'll look.

The new Enterprise is amazing, but I'm having some texture trouble. The top and rim of the saucer (which I believe are handled with the same texture file) are significantly darker than the textures on the rest of the ship. The texture colours look the same as the others when opened in photoshop. I think it maybe something to do with the model (possibly the direction of the face normals?). For the sake of investigation I renamed the bottom saucer texture and had it on the top aswell; It was darkened on top compared to the exact same texture on the bottom of the saucer. I've taken some screenshots to show what I mean. I took shots of both the top and bottom of the ship with the same lighting direction for comparison;

I've also noticed that when in warp, the bussards glow from behind but instead get a bright blue ring around them;

Yeah as I said I checked by applying one of the other parts textures and saw that it went dark as well. I think it may be the 3d model itself. I know textures can look weird if face normals on the model are inverted in 3d applications, I wondered if something like that may be it.

So is the warp thing normal then or is it just me that's got it?

I don't think all of the testers got the texture thing.  But I did as well.

As for the warp mode on the bussards, that would most likely be intentional.  Watch the scene in ST2009 when the Enterprise is trying to escape the black hole, there's a blue ring around the edges.

Yeah, but it was also lit up behind the 'blades'. I didn't know if the textures for them are supposed to show more of the light blue warp texture behind them like in the video baz posted a while back.

I spent an evening adjusting the textures to compensate for the darkening and matching them by eye to the bottom of the saucer in game

Got it pretty close  :D

Only just seen this... Your problem with the different hull colour on the saucer is because the ambient colour is different compared with the rest of the ship... That's what's cocking up the colour...

Oh really?  Only a few of the beta testers had this problem I think.
