« on: July 06, 2012, 02:33:12 AM »
Saucers only at this point, trying to figure out what other changes need. Any help is welcome. Thanks to WileyCoyote for the awesome textures and Khaliban for the refit to try them on.

why most consider the kahliban connie one of the best connie model ?? I never see any one try to retexture ZambieZan Connie...

Anyway
I suppose you ask WC for use his texture..

For top and bottom saucer it's simple rename the wc texture with the name of the saucer texture from kahliban and see the job in nifskope.
For the other hull part you need to re-Uwmap in 3d-max with the wc texture coordinates.

Umm....I don't recall giving you permission. I recall an email from January 2012, for permission to use my textures on WZ's Connie (same mesh?) for personal use. Plus, your pictures are not showing up.

Sorry about the confusion, I am in no way trying to pass WileyCoyote's and Khaliban's work as my own. I would not publish anything without obtaining permission but again just for personal use. I can understand how you guys take your work seriously and give you credit for it. I would just like to see how it would look with your textures @WC and any tips you or anyone can offer to make it better as a personal project and it will not be on BCFiles or any other site. I would love to see someone do Zambie's model, I personally tried it and only got as far as the saucer. Pics coming.

Lol, the "URL" is a file path.

Looks like Captain Kirk doesn't know a whole lot about the internet. :P

yeah, we all went through that point at some time or another. Anyway, to get your pictures to show up on teh internets, you're going to need to upload them onto a photo hosting site like photobucket or imageshack. There are tons of them out there, so pick whatever feel like. Once you've uploaded the picture to the hosting site, you can then link the picture to other websites by simply copying the url of your image and pasting it onto the website using whatever code the website you want to show off your pictures use. Once that's done, everyone on the internet can see your works.

I was making the joke that all the tech on the NCC-1701 looks like nothing compared to what we have today.  Remember when they printed off the sensor report?  One reason I can't take TOS seriously anymore. :P

You can either remap it via 3ds_max or milkshape 3d ;) or you can do it with textures ;) retexture it in any graphics editor (preferably GIMP, Photoshop or Paint Shop) to match Wiley's style.

Oh and I presume you're using the old model of Khaliban's Refit right ?

There is also the free gmax version. AFAIK it is just 3ds max lacking some functionality like scene rendering.
