Mann Vs. Machine
« on: August 15, 2012, 12:47:19 PM »
A second large update in as many months brings a brand new game mode for TF2 goes live today. Its a six player co-op where you fight off wave after wave of robots which for some reason run on money. Inbetween those waves you will be able to upgrade your weapons, items and abilites(tactics) at upgrade stations using this money. And get this...you neither fight as all Red or all Blu, you fight together to stop the horde from dropping a bomb on every Mann Co building in the world. Oh and watch out for the Giants, it'll take all of you to take them down.

Here is everything you need to know so far.

Hlaf an hour queue to get into a server but its worth it. The constant carnage and the great upgrades kept me going for hours. It also helps if you happen upon a great team which I did though we lost some waves but we pushed through switching classes and doing different upgrades until we hit a hot streak and we just kept on winning til the end. And you really do need six people to play or have really really good teammates otherwise you've already lost before the fight even begins. Three of the achievements will take a looonnng time to get. They are the one million in cash collected, a hundred thousand boots killed and then a million bots killed.
All hail the messiah!

It may take half an hour there, but searching manually seems to be quicker. And if you've played on one just go into your history.

The matchmaking thing is really only ever useful if you make a full group of your friends and want to play with them and no-one else.
