Out of curiosity Bones...why do the engine "glows"(Nano blinkers) look way better in your pics than they do in my BC? :P

Unreal engine allows for super cool effects like engine glows that are not part of the texture, the closest way to achieve that effectin BC is to add nano blinker ;) I might add some glows too.

Bones, I think you misunderstand me.  I'm talking about in your BC screenshots.  Your engine "blinkers" look more like lens flares.  Mine just look like little balls of light.

Oh I see now, check if you have the blank texture in NFX2 folder (scripts/Custom/NanoFXv2/SpecialFX/Gfx/Blinker/Blank.tga)

Update :

I've came to senses about ME codex and I'm going to rescale Dreadnought again, now it will be the biggest ship of Alliance fleet (800-850 meters long) and I'm going to retexture it from scratch as I'm not happy with overall quality of the Dreadnought textures (Bioware really improved their texturing since ME1 and Dreadnought's texturing looks seriously outdated compared to Cruiser)

I do indeed, why?

And I'd hope that their texturing improved. :funny  Have fun with the new textures, can't wait to see it. :D

Ok, could you PM me your blank.tga ?

trust me, by looking at ME1 then at ME3 textures, they improved :P

EDIT

Update on the Everest class (Dreadnought)

I've almost finished 'wings-structure' of the ship, I'm thinking about making engines dark grey/black like both Normandies had but first I'll complete main hull.

Here is a picture showing original Bioware's textures with my color modification compared to brand new texturing ;)

Would it be possible to make the windows smaller and more dense?  This ship is nearly a kilometer long.  You should have the windows be visibly more intense than those on the cruiser.

Yes, can't see a problem here ;) I figured out that cruiser is going to be about the size of 600 m, while dreadnought will be around 900, Battleship will be 750 m ( Command ship was too long and served no real purpose so judging by the agressive look it will suite better as battleship/battle cruiser)

Tomorrow I'll start retexturing Alliance frigate to ME3 style Alliance colors.

If nothing comes in my way (RL stuff mostly), this will be quite a mod release spree :D considering 4 ships are 95 % ready and another 10 ships and 2 bases are in queue, this will be something :D

Collector Cruiser is finished conversion/retexture wise, for in game testing I was using 8472 bioship hardpoint and itwas real joy to tear Normandy Sr-1 apart in a matter of few shots  :funny

also I mentioned I hated glows on Collectors ship, they are now reworked and looks sharp :)

I'll post pictures later, when I deal with that stupid graphic card switch ... (when I leave switching dynamic, BC choose Intel GMA 4500 instead of ATI/AMD GFX  tried to overwrite that with ATI graphics switch manager but it is stubborn, same thing with SFC, KOTOR and any other game that came before 2006  :lostit:)

Whoa, I just realized how similar the collectors are to 8472... *mindblown*

Indeed, they are very similiar, thus the only change I have to make to the hardpoint will be renaming and relocating stuff and change engines values unless I want it be about as maneuverable as Normandy  :funny

And the Reapers are quite similar to the Borg.
