An ID4 sequel is still making news. It seems much closer to reality than it ever has been.

Jurassic Park 4 is expected to release in 2014 at the earliest. The original is coming back to the big screen next year in 3d! My butts already in the seat!

Pacific Rim...the movie we've all been waiting for. Massive (2)human piloted mechs called Jaegers fighting giant alien monsters referred to as Kiaju(Japanese word for monster). Some fly, some crawl and others swim. The events leading up to the movie begin next year but the movie itself takes place fifty years from now. There are only four Jaegers known so far. The American Jaeger is called Gipsy Danger, the Aussie mech is called Striker Eureka, for the Russians its Cherno Alpha and for the Japanese its Coyote Tango(the very first with only one pilot instead of two).
