Any resolution to online play ?
« on: February 05, 2013, 07:04:25 PM »
Hello to all, this is my first post. I tracked down this forum due to the Gamespy servers shutting off...

I wanted to know if anybody has put together or working on an action plan to create a new master server list ?
Any chance someone out there can donate a new master server? :D

I miss playing this game online.

I once used to host a kob maru server.
using serris system made of 3 sectors, 1 sector would be for 1v1 pvp, another sector would be for free for all, and the 3rd sector would be for repairs and people who volunteer to pilot repair ships.

We used to have a lot of fun ^_^

Is it even possible to make a new master server ?
If anybody knows of any dedicated servers I can connect to, please let me know.

I think Defiant was asking about this.
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

If anybody can let me know if my server is visible to them, hosting km 1.0 in death match

server name: KM 1.0 3=ffa 2=pvp 1=repair

Using the 3 sector serris system as explained above.

I doubt it will be as popular as it used to be :3

Several years ago I made a working prototype server, but it still needs work in securing the server, so it won't be a security risk for me.
So..does the gamespy server work again?

KM 1.0 is outdated.

yes the gamespy server appears to be working, however I could not leave my server up for long due to having started a new job the next day.

Also i could not find a more updated version of km 1.0, any help and links would be appreciated.

EDIT:
Downloading km 2011-10.rar now, though it is not stated what version it is.

Also, just to be sure my server results were not flawed:
I am hosting the server from my laptop, over internet not lan.
I am connecting using my desktop pc, by searching the internet list, not lan.
The list is indeed reporting.
Time to break out a bottle of the good stuff guys n gals.

Will be updating to the latest km shortly on desktop and server.

If anybody can confirm that the list is indeed reporting, it would be wise to create a thread named, "Gamespy servers back online" ;)
