Yes, I got that one from the start.
But there are various SNS Galaxy ships included, which one of them are you using?
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

Ah, so there isn't a problem with the SNS Galaxy.
The SNS Galaxy's are only under the SNS Galaxy Sub Menu.

Right, so we have to figure out what Galaxy mod you are using.
Have you installed any other Galaxy mods (the answer should be yes, I want to know which one)?

I wrote the ship plugin files.
The stock galaxy wasn't touched.

To have the SNS galaxy in game, you would have to turn on a mutator (or start a mission through Custom Missions, the Scotchy Maelstrom Campaign, or something like that).

What other Galaxy mods did you install before SNS Galaxy?

umm sorry to say this MLeo but the stock galaxy was replaced by the sns galaxy in the main DL. Turning on the mutator only enables the other menu to show up I think.

Never did on my install.

It's a pity to hear that you re-installed your game.
There were a couple of other things to try.
I hope you installed the Foundation after the patch?
And make sure you have an (empty) FoundationTriggers.py file in scripts/
