Elysium trailer and other news!

Firstly, here is the Elysium trailer. I am even more looking forward to seeing this one now! Blomkamp said that Camerons style of acyion and visuals in ALIENS and Terminator 2 played a part in what this movie would feel like.

Marvel Universe:
Robert Reford will be playing a high ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in CA:Winter Soldier. Not sure if he will be in any of the other Phase 2 movies. Captain America and Natasha will be dealing with a dangerous shadowy figure in Washington. Also, Batroc the Leaper(played by Georges "Rush" St-Pierre!!!) will be in the movie aswell.

Zoe Saldana adds another sci-fi universe to her list of many rolls for years to come. She will play the character of Gamora in Gaurdians of the Galaxy. She joins Chris Pratt(Star-Lord) and Dave Bautista(Drax the Destroyer) leaving Groot and Rocket Raccoon to get their voice roles filled. Concept images and such here, here and here.

The Black Panther may be in Avengers 2, then lead into his own movie.

Ant Man is also on the pipeline.

Preview image of a slightly less animal-like Beast from Days of Future Past. If you don't know what this X-Men story arch is about it brings the original mutant cast and the more recent much younger version together. Bryan Singer btw promises that parts of X3 will be nullified/made right by this movie.

Misc:
The Godzilla cast continues to grow even with filming already underway.

ID Forever Part I and II are a go. Its 20 years after the invasion and a rebuilt but more alien Earth has emerged. We've incorporated their tech into ours but we ofcourse still can't replicate their organicly made devices. The first Mothership sends out a distress signal that gets picked up by the rest and they in a moments time (via a wormhole) arrive over Earth to finish what the first wave failed to do. 20 years later on "ID Forever", suggests the possibility of cameos by Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum and/or Bill Pullman.

That seems to be the plan. Those three will play a part but its the (then)kids(now adults) that would be front and center in these. And ofcourse the aliens "do new things".

I was of the impression - and it said so in the movie - that the alien invasion consisted of their entire civilization. Ergo, when the mothership and the city destroyer ships go poof, so did the whole damn lot of them. How are there more of them?

They said their civilization is spaceborne and reaps entire planets.  They never specified that they only had one ship.

Also, Iron Mans suit in this movie is called the MarkXLII(42). So, we jump from seven at the end of Avengers to 42 for IM3 in a matter of a year. Which explains all of the (Jarvis controlled?)suits involved in the final showdown.
