Does anyone here use Gimp?

I have been using it to add motion blur and fog effects to my latest images however trying to figure out a way to add billowing smoke to a picture and meeting little success

I grabbed gimp to have an art pogram to work with again.  I tried checking out textures with it.  all you get is the Alpha channel...everything else is blank.

Hey guys,

thanks for the posts. I actually use GIMP and PS interchangeably. There are a huge number of free resources out there on the net for both, deviantart is a good place to look
