installation sequence
« on: July 31, 2013, 12:02:18 PM »
Ok guys. I have everything I need. These are my mods: bcsdk1_1, BCUT_v1.8.1.0, Foundation-20020526, galaxycharts_v2, KOBMARU-2011.10, mp14dfull, p-tosbridgepack, orignaltrekunifwmutator-u, x-coregold.
I have yet to install it.
I would like to know if there is a specific sequence that should be followed for the installation. (I mean what first? What for last?)
I know that some mods are incompatible with others.
I would avoid messing up the game.

P.S. : A big thanks to Tiqhud, without which I would have only the base of the game (which is not little, however ....).
         God bless you!

BCSDK and BCUT are not mods for the game, they are tools to help mod the game - dont worry about those in the installation order...

install BC from your disc...
install BC's 1.1 patch...
install KM...
install TOS bridge pack and TOS uniforms...
do not install Galaxy Charts - it already comes with KM...
do not install Bridge Core Gold - it already comes with KM...
do not install MPMP1.4 - it is old and outdated, will really screw up your KM install...

that's likely to translate the subtitles and menues, but it will probably mess with a few scripts from QB which go find a specific button by name.
you shouldn't have problems with the SP campaign.

To Play Bridge Commander SuperMod Single Player, use the Shortcut in the start menu labeled "Bridge Commander Single Player."

Bridge Commander Super Modification V3.1 README

Author:      CaptainRussell

Requirements:
-Bridge Commander
-BCMI
-BCMP

MINIMUM System:
-2.0 GHz Pentium 4
-256MB Radeon X700PRO or 256MB GeForce 6800GT
-512MB of system memory
-1.45 GB of uncompressed hard disk space

RECOMMENDED System:
-2.8 GHz Pentium 4

-1024MB of system memory
-1.45 GB of uncompressed hard disk space

IDEAL System:
-3.8 GHz Pentium 4
-Dual 512MB Radeon X1900XTXs or dual 512MB GeForce 7950GTs
-2048MB of system memory
-1.45 GB of uncompressed hard disk space

Information:
This is the latest version of the BC Super Mod; its quality is far superior to that of either V1.0 or V2.0, as you'll plainly see as soon as you start playing it if you've played either of the other two versions.  The CR Nebula, NanoFX sound effects, and my all-new 9 of 9 Cardassian Hybrid (only available with this modification) are just a few of the new upgrades over the V2.0.
You'll need an extremely-powerful computer system in order to play this mod as it looks in the included screenshots; nothing less powerful than my old X700PRO will even let you play with antialiasing or anisotropic filtering enabled, especially during the large-scale battles of E6M5 and E7M4.  To run speculars, antialiasing, anisotropic filtering, and high resolutions, you'll need at least 512MB of graphical memory - no less will do.

Included:
SNS Akira (revamped to use the SDT)
   SNS Galaxy
   CG Sovereign
   LC Ambassador
   LC Defiant
   LC Intrepid
   LC D'Deridex
   CR Nebula
   CR Cube
   CR Tactical Cube
   CR Sphere
   CR Hybrid
   CR Korolev
   CR Kelvins
   CR Intimidator
   CR Galaxy Refits
   JB06/Lint Species 8472 Bioship
   P81 B'Rel
   P81 K'Vort
   DX Negh'Var(w/custom HP)
   9 of 9 Galor
   9 of 9 Keldon
   C2X Scimitar
   Red Dragon's Norexan
   SPT Marauder
   MVAM Prometheus
   USS Salem Fed Starbase
All of my other stuff(ships, re-textures, re-hardpoints, etc.)
   MDamamge 1.0
   WarpFlash FC
   Explosion Pack
My uniform, character head, shield, and phaser textures
   CTU Sovereign-class bridge re-texture
Mark's Galaxy Bridge Retexture V2.0 (w/new USS Dauntless plaque!)
   Advanded Technologies Pack 1
   Skinning & Damaging Tool
   Submenu Modification
   CE planet textures
   NanoFX sound effects!

Notes:
The single-player campaign has been further tweaked for you enjoyment, and all missions are 100% reloadable (I've played through them several times on my BC install and have found them to be 100% reliable - if you play the game for too long however it may crash to the desktop due to its inherent instability - the game is like this modded or not - I recommend exiting and re-entering the game at least every four hours to prevent this).

I swear i thought there was an italian dub packed in with BC itself.  but then, that might just be for using the Italian keyboard

note that, since Bridge Commander was made long before multiple core processors, it can't recognize them and won't use them.

depending on where your at, or even WHICH china, mabey you could get some ideas and names for us.  most names and ideas come from the US and royal navies, with the occasional smattering of classic IJN names.  don't forget to throw in Italy's own, of course.

don't be afraid to throw out a couple TOS ship ideas, either!

let us know how this works out.  it's nice to see someone make more than one post after help is recieved.

ok a few things...

that version of BC you just mentioned is pirated, thus illegal - and discussion of any such things is strictly against this site's rules...

second, most pirated versions of BC are usually always unstable and you will have problems...  we wouldnt be able to assist in any problems or questions you may have about your install, as per forum rules...
