Klingon Cruiser Sketch
« on: August 15, 2013, 07:24:59 AM »
As some of you already known, I?m a 3dsmax and Sketchup user and... I rarelly finish my meshes. :D
Anyway... After seeing Willey and Phoenix threads, I got a bug telling me to draw a Klingon cruiser. It lead me to build a prototype with sketchup, which I present you.

I like it, reminds me of Klingon Academy Game style. Do you consider her TMP era?

Let?s say it operates from the middle of TMP era to the beginning of TNG era. ;)

The neck looks a little too long, otherwise, I'm liking it.

more like Late TOS, early TMP.  I'd texture it as a transition between the two.  and for some reason, my brain's calling it  "D-34"
oh, don't forget the torpedo port.

best line I've ever read
Me: mine [my bridges] would probably be simple to get the characters to use.  the only person that sits is the captian.

It definitely looks more advanced than a K'tinga, so I'd guess X-era, maybe turn of the century 2300.

I actually think it has a LOT more robust of a neck than a D7/K'Tinga.  and I'd DL it in a new york minute, too.

Wait until I place the plates over her, like the ones placed over TMP K?tinga, and she will look more like a ship from TMP timeframe.
I won?t foget the torpedo. I?m still thinking about to put just one (or two) at half sphere?s front, or... place them at the front of the ship?s  "head". :D
