The polar vortex - or "Dear God, it's COLD!"
« on: January 07, 2014, 06:08:27 AM »
So, who's been enjoying the ups-and-downs of weather? For the first time that I can recall living in New England - which I've done for a little over five years now - the temperatures hit 0 Fahrenheit, with a -20 or so wind chill. The past seven days have been ups and downs - teens, 20s, 40s, 50s, teens again, so on...and it looks like the next week is gonna be more of the same!

How about the rest of you folks?

A few plus degree C in central Sweden. Warmest winter in the past 50 years.
There's only been a few days with negative temps.

Same here, at the moment we have 11? C in Switzerland. Apart from the mountains no snow at all. Even in the mountains they had problems

A bit windy and rather mild at 7 Celsius though the wind makes that much colder, rain too but that's expected.

18 Fahrenheit? So pretty much the same weather as we currently have in Sweden. Sounds like perfectly normal for this time of the year (winter) :D
