The game will not got to my monitors max rez of 1680 x 1050(High Def 22" Widescreen), is there any way to change that?, I tried editing the options file but the game just crashes.

I don't think BC was ever intendeeded for widescreens

I just dont like that its stuck at 1280x1024, it looks fuzzy,I guess I can go digging though the .py files to see if its in there..
I heard of a way a while back to get it to go higher than 1280x1024...

Switch to Windowed Mode.
This will require TestMode to be once (atleast once to set it, unless you want to go through the options.py).
Then set your resolution (of BC) to 1600, if it allows that.
I believe it will only allow windowed mode in one resulution setting lower than your current screen resolution.

Ok thanks for the help ill try it out

The game does not support widescreen, but with some serious modification I did manage to get the renderer to render at 1680x1050 however the GUI is not relational so it appeared out of place and completly mis-sized. Additionally only the exterior renderer will render widescreen, the bridge view will not.
So basically if someone was willing to put in the work it is possible to modify the game to dramatically improve the look of the game on widescreen monitors, however it is alot of work, and im not sure its attainable through the restraints of foundation.

Thanks for the response:-) , and yeah I kind of gave up on it....I didnt think about it before getting the monitor that it might not work with BC, I was thinking about easier modeling, since I had a regular 17" before.
