Looks nice!

If you want help with setting up a default bridge (and ship) uniform for your Mantis bridge and ship, not to mention Uniforms compatible uniform, contact me on MSN or via PM.

very nice, but may I suggest that you give the grey areas some kind of structure, y'know like the FC ones, for example.

what do you mean by structure?

I think he means a texture, such as cotton or metal.

Oh, and if you can e-mail me, I can send you some information about the uniforms, and I'll add you to the Beta list of Uniforms.

looks much better, although the red on grey still looks like its just a translucent red square stuck to her shoulder :P..

also the bevels on the badge, you might want to try fiddling with the size of them.

so I should remove the red?

id put a that stripe on the edges of the grey material like they have on the canon uniforms but make that the departmental colour, that should look pretty good...

Post by: cpthooker on August 11, 2006, 08:21:05 AM
yeah that is the departmental colour

If you notice the stipe of material around the entire gray area of the uniform. if that was applied to the grey borders of your uniforms and then changed to the department colour that would probably seem good.

That sharp angle doesn't really suit it, maybe round?

Personally I think it looks a bit odd, maybe make the dark grey meet up with the black?

Post by: Legacy on August 11, 2006, 04:31:53 PM
i think the wierdness comes from the fact that it looks like a darker painted area over the same fabric... probably if you make the areas to look separated for all it would look more realistic.

Give the darker grey area a different texture maybe?
Title: Uniforms and new badge I made
Post by: ModderMan on August 11, 2006, 07:12:31 PM
and maybe put the rank in the dark grey area

Looks great, would it be possible to texture some sort of belt? It just that the jacket makes the trousers look a little....plain.
Title: Uniforms and new badge I made
Post by: cpthooker on August 14, 2006, 03:41:13 AM
well the trousers never really have anything on them through the series.

I'll have to agree with Cube. Adding a belt (even if its not necessary) would make the uniform look unique. Currently it looks like a refitted First Contact-uniform :P (Not to say it looks bad, because it looks good :D)

Something like Admiral Ross' belt would look pretty nice...

Agreed, these uniforms look like a natural progression from the First Contact Uniforms. Top work!!:)

these look good although, I think that it would look more like an evolution of  the FC uniform if you used the AGT commbadge, not that I don't like yours, but it doesn't quite fit here.

well I will see how it looks but remember AGT was a possible future, but since the enterprise D was destroyed things like that badge will probably not happen :P

What about this for the badge, I was unhappy with the ones currently out there and needed one for ST:A (NF 2.0) So i redid the the Alternate reality one.

The AGT badge was also used in the "Endgame" episode in the Voyager finale.

well its been a while since I did anything to this topic, I thought I do more work. The best way to do this was make the uniform for elite force 2 models to be used instead. After spending time extracting and working out which texture is who's this is the result so far. Still needs work but its getting there.
