Title: Voyager Crew and Uniforms - no sound

Hi All

I have just installed the voyager crew & uniforms mod. Great textures. My only problem is i get no sound. I manually installed them from file to file. When ingame i click one of the characters and they just stare at me!  :shock:
and i get no sound.

But sometimes, say if i click to go to warp usually it would say "yes captain" but I get an interference sound.

any ideas??

It would appear the author of the mod didn't encode the mp3 files correctly.

How do I contact him as when i click on his name in BCfiles I get a page saying coming soon?

you can contact me here. so the problem is there's no sound coming out at all? no-one else has reported it.

how did you install it + did you try reinstalling it?

jb06 - out of curiosity, did you use WinLame to encode the sfx?  ive found that to be the best program...  and if there is a loud static noise being heard, i think it is because of the encoding (as MLeo was saying)...

it isn't static so much as background noise, since the voices were taken from the episodes

no i used nero wave editor to cut the parts i needed then saved them as a mp3. is it just slamminuk who just has this problem? i haven't encounted it before.

Ive had the static sound a couple of times but i thought it was me just trying to use too many sounds at once.

well if you here it again tell me who the static is for and what it could of been saying an i will track it down.
