how about writing functions within the autoload file and then adding those functions to the dictionary? they can be then tailored to suit the needs of the bridge exactly and any logic becomes simple with a few global varaibles.
if properly commented | explained then i don't see why it wouldn't work?

Also the Grey one looks better in the show and Elite Force but the brown looks better in BC.

Couple of errors (Only ones I saw) Felix seems to have dislocated is shoulder
and Diaz is standing in his chair (And threw the floor)
The problem is, the console between the captain and XO chair wont 'unfold' when at red alert. I thought it was able to do this. I have the BPCore Gold beta so it should be working.
Also, shame that none of the LCARS are animated but ohwell, cant have everything.
I think I fixed it.
Somewhere along the line a faulty Bridge Fix (old thing, included in all but the oldest bridges) was introduced.
And you guys simply had the bad luck of recieving it.
I think Mark will put out a new package with it fixed soon, but before that, here's the fix for the faulty file.
Yeah, don't worry if it appears to be exactly the same as the old one, since there is only 1 character wrong.
It goes to scripts/Custom/Autoload, see if that works.
Or atleast, I would, but as you have read (you have, haven't you?) in the announcement, attachments don't work yet.
So here is how to fix it.
First, back up the following file (just a copy and change the extension to something like bck or org, or you could copy it to somewhere other than Autoload or Custom): scripts/Custom/Autoload/000-Fixes20030221.py
Now, open up the file (not the backup), I suppose Notepad will, do but remember to change the file type to All Types, and make sure the extension of the file is py). And scroll to the bottom of it.
You will see this line:Code: [Select]if int(Foundation.version[0:8]) > 20030221:Change the greater than sign into a lesser than sign (change the > to a <).
That's it.
Btw, the result is:Code: [Select]if int(Foundation.version[0:8]) < 20030221:
The other issue was with the Intrepid, that the animations didn't work.
Go to data/Animations/ and rename the intrepid directory to bp this is case sensitive.

anybody remember that version of the intrepid bridge that was released a while back, which included Bridge Plugin red alert textures? it was kinda buggy, but it worked for the most part. he also released a Blue Alert version, cause MVAM maps werent available back then. Now this new intrepid bridge overwrote his old version of it..but what if it didnt overwrite all of the core files, and now they're contradicting each other, and some extra lightmaps are being mixed onto the bridge now?i dunno; i'm fairly certain that i did have that Intrepid Bridge retexture on my backup install, and then installed the Intrepid v3 over it... yet i dont seem to have that "shadow" effect...
ok i've uninstalled the bridge and reinstalled it. i still get the same shadow across the ceiling. it takes up more than half of it as you can see from the picture. could one of the files packaged into the installer be the wrong lightmap?

thanks man, but i already had that file exactly the same as you do and i have the shadow. i added it to my install anyway just in case i'm crazy..but it didnt do nething. the shadow remains. i'm pretty sure that the LM that's causing the problem is "ceilinglight2_lmtga.tga". could you upload that one?

no there was another problem that was brought up but then kinda forgotten about....the wierd shadow on the ceiling. the only ppl who had it were the ppl who installed the beta posted on here...none of the devs had it.And then not even all of them mind you.

what you can do is download KM1.0 to a temp folder (NOT your BC folder) and then just physically extract what you want, thats what i have done, ive done this with a bunch of mods and the new intrepid and the bridge. but i have hit a problem with that and i hope someone here can help me, on the intrepid bridge brex is still in the old position of the older intrepid bridge, he starts off sat down in the right place then he stands up and 'Phases' thru the wall, as tho he is still in the old animation set. and the XO console doesn't raise! im sure that this is just a problem with a file that i have forgot to copy across, so if someone could pls tell me what the files are that deal with that animation (and yes, i have got the ones from the animation folder called 'bp') then i will be one happy chappy!The 'BP' folder is for the animated fixtures on the Intrepid bridge. Like the command console between the command chairs. The problem is you need to delete any old INT Animations before adding in the new versions. Along with any INT Bridge/Character.py scripts. That should fix it. -BR32
