Title: Wierd Freeze Issue
Post by: AndrewJ on December 30, 2007, 02:39:48 PM
In my custom install, most recently I installed the SNS Galaxy and then the Yamato B :)

Now since this, at times randomly into QB game the game will have a 1second freeze about every four seconds this is very annoying although minor, I am sure someone once posted a fix for this but I am damned if I can remember where and when this was done.

Thanks All.

Does it just so happen to be during red alert?

If so, Ive had the same issue for nearly a year but I just ended up ignoring it after a while. If anyone knows of a fix, it would be helpful.

Which bridge are you using?
And does it have animated maps which require BPCore?
And are you using the latest BPCore?

I have not tried every bridge but I shall try, if it's any help I shall test some more.

No, there aren't, but I can only speak out of experience that the cleanup can provide a periodic hickup on my system. Sounds a bit like his situation.

i have experienced the same issue - i just thought it was my crap PC and gfx card showing its age lol
but in QB after a bit of playing, sometimes it will like pause for a split second, every few seconds...
the game will like run-run-run-freeze-run-run-run-freeze etc

Like I said, try it while on green alert and i think you'll find that the split second lag dissapears. weird that it only happens on red alert, assuming its on red alert for the rest of you

Lag via red alert animated maps via BPCore are fixed. Seriously.
So, unless you are running a very old BPCore and/or very old SoundFX (which I think was removed, unsure at the moment), you won't get a lag from BPCore or related.

right on - i knew they are fixed - tho it has been quite a while since i have been able to fire up BC, i do recall having the "pause" factor the last times i played...
ill try it out very soon, tho, with the new BP Core to see if i no longer have that issue personally...
