Title: My Sol WIP Model - Size comparison shots

So far I've got all 8 planets, one minor planet, and one moon, all to scale in terms of size and distance from the center of thy system (where Sol will go when I can be bothered)

I've made some shots - 1280 by 800 of planet sizes.

I like it!

Though, what are those lines on the Comp_MoonPluto_copy.jpg picture?
On Earth that is, I suppose just rendering artifacts.

A little problem with the cloud sphere intersecting the Earth's sphere...I must of moved one of them a fraction out of alignment while moving Earth aout.

Very nice, Cube!  Only nitpick:  Pluto isn't a red Europa.  :P

(Yes, I know we don't have high-res images of Pluto yet.  But it's likely grey with a hint of purple.)

I've just read the description for that image...it's brown, not red. (I'm partially colourblind)...oh well.

Heh, you want some textures to render with? www.celestiamotherlode.net
This place has to be the best place for textures for our solar system. Earth textures up to 64000X32000. Normal maps, Bump maps, Specular Maps. Cloud layers, for almost every planet. Great place it is. I frequently use the 16k earth texture for rendering.

Awesome!  Thanks a lot, Creative Inc!  I've recently been messing with rendering planets, so this is perfect timing!

Very nice Cube. I can see why they decided to make Pluto a minor planet, instead of a "normal planet". It's smaller than our own moon!

And hey, good job on making a 3rd version of yourself, and placing it on the earth model. too bad your 3D is too small to see any detail.

But anyway, good job!
