This looks like a akira class, really nice work so far :D
-
and rengers gets the cookie.
yeah, actually so far it is just a reworking of the P81, but your absolutely right, I am actually trying to create a saucer separating Akira, ever since I saw that article in the Star Trek Magazine, I have wanted to do this.
so far I have done all the easy stuff, like removing the saucer, but I am having trouble adding the new faces in the holes left by it. more updates on the way
-
interesting!
-
well, however much I would love to do this project, I am having some trouble with milkshape, so unfortunately, unless someone can finish the models for me, I may have to put this project on hold until I can get a response from Chubalumsoft regarding this bug
-
Oh, how awesome! Best of luck with this project! :D
-Aeries.

this defenetly takes the cake for the b***ardization of mvam....
-
this has peaked my interest, a mvam akira sounds wicked, :D
-
Hey. What bug are you referring to? I use milkshape quite often so maybe I can help.
If you're referring to adding new vaces to the open spots, just select 3 vertecies at a time and press "f" for face. If it tells you that you can't, then select each vertex (seperately) and weld them together. :D Then try it again. If it seems like it does nothing, go to "Face" and then to "Reverse Vertex Order"...or press "Ctrl + Shift + F" for the same thing. You should see the face now.
He he, I don't know if that's what your referring to or not, but if you have any questions that I may be able to help with, ask away. :D

most fascinating an Akira that can separate. Never heard of this before. Will keep an eye on this
-
well, according to Alex Jaeger, it was designed to, so I wanted to try it, as far as this bug, it seems to be working ATM, I don't know why, but I will work on it while I can.
here is the link to the thread i posted in Chumbalumsoft's forum,

Word. I usually don?t say anything if I dislike an idea, but... no. Just... no.
-
Ok, I read your post. I can see how that would be annoying. :D Can't help you there, haven't seen that bug.
Hope it gets resolved. :D
-
well at this point it is only getting worse, it seems like every time I find my way around something, another ten bugs crop up, after I started doing what you said Cord, the select function stopped working entirely, so at this point I am going to have to concede defeat, I will gladly send what I've got to anyone who wants to finish this model, but I can't and it has way to many errors for me to just use it as is.
-
Eh? This seems odd...
-
yeah, I did manage to get it to work on my moms PC now though, so I've fixed most of the errors.
-
a seperating akira.
that sounds odd but nod bad ...
lets look what the development will show us ;)
-
The only reason I can see the Akira MVAMing is to forcibly separate a heavily damaged stardrive from the rest of the ship. This project should be interesting. :)

I can think of a few good reasons.
anyway, I am making some headway, since a friend gave me a copy of Max3, I just have to figure out how to use it. in the mean time I have been doing some research into this ship, in order to place certain systems
-
im looking forward to seeing the results aces :D
-
just thinking about...
where should the bridge be placed?

I would have it up by the torp launcher xD

yeah that's where I was thinking of putting it, either that or in one of the hulls
