Title: BSOD after installing and "removing" BCMI and NanoFX
Post by: djdtec on February 28, 2008, 05:24:49 AM
I just recently got into this game, it worked on my computer, I got some ships to work as well, but as soon as I started using the BCMI and installing NanoFX, I got the BSOD. I deleted everything, all the mods and folders I could find, system restored, but now everytime I install BC, I get the BSOD with the shield cursor. I ran it in test mode and I have the results below. Please, I need some help.  This is also the first time I ever messed with scripts.

Vista Home Premium 32 Bit
HP Pavillion Laptop DV9500
AMD Turion 64x2 TL-58 1.9Ghz
2Ghz RAM
Conexant HD-Audio SmartAMC HD2

Remove my fixes as well.
You can do that by deleting both the py and pyc versions of the following file:
scripts/Custom/Autoload/LoadNanoFXv2Fixes.py

You can't have that bsod unless you have the file(s).

How are you navigating to the Autoload directory?

I wanna do this from the beginning, how do I properly remove everything so I can get the BC to run pre-modded

BC does not uninstall any additional mods. Uninstall the game, delete any remaining folders and install the game again.

To run premodded, you basicly need to reinstall the game.

But it is _physically_ impossible not to have the files I described _and_ have the error you are having.
