I have BC installed and the foundation. But for some reason only some of the ships I have added don?t appear in the game. I have checked and it is not BCMP that is the problem as far as I can tell. The fixer program in BC SMC didn?t help any way. I was wondering if Vista on my computer is blocking BCMP and BC SMC from altering or adding files to my BC directory because some ships work without a plug in.

Do you have a submenu mod and BC patch v1.1?
-
SubMenu won't make ships disappear.
The ships that work without a plugin are the stock ships.
Make sure you have activated atleast the top 3 mutator options.
Also, check if you only have py and pyc files in scripts/Custom/Ships/

I have BC 1.1 and KM 1.0. When I say that some of the mods aren?t showing up in the game I mean that I installed the Enterprise F mod and it comes up in game even without a plug in. But when I plunge the files for the USS Vimy Ridge mod by the same author in nothing happens. All the KM 1.0 ships work fine I have had no other problems. I will check again but I believe that all the py an pyc files are in the right places as well.

I would suggest re-downloading the ships and re trying the mods. But thats what I would do.
-
Link to the mod please.

DJ's early ships didn't have custom ship plugins. You'll have to make you're own with BCSMC.

I tryed use BCSMC and every thing seemed to work but the game is still not listing the ships in the game. My computer has Vista, could it be proventing BCSMC from altering the files maby?
This is the Enterprise F link. http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Century_Class_USS_EnterpriseF;82748
And the Vimy Ridge is here http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Victory_Class_USS_Vimy_Ridge;59748
I'll try a reload as well.

The Enterprise F comes with a plugin, so no worries there.
Did you copy the resulting file to the right directory (sorry, I didn't keep up with the development of BCSMC, so I don't know if it already positions the file correctly or not).
-
BCSMC creates the new plugin in the BCSMC folder(same folder setup as BC).
-
So you will need to copy it.

Thanks for the help, just started using BCSMC so I had missed this. Went in to the options menu and set it to install in my BC install, problem solved. Should have had another look at the readme, must have missed it the first time. I had been using BCMP untill just recently.

ya forget BCMP... BCSMC is much much better :)
