This is what I found in my email today!
Star Trek: All Crew Reporting for the Nintendo Wii has been announced over at fellow trek gaming website Star Trek Fan Games All Crew Reporting is being developed by Mitch Adams as part of a bachelors degree in game design and development.
The Premise of the Game - Bring the bridge to you?re living room! Weather you?re on Flight Control, Operations Management, Security and Tactical, or in the Captain?s Chair, everyone has an important role. With determination, teamwork, and a little luck, you just might bring you?re starship back in one piece!
Players will complete missions of approximately one hour in length, in order to earn commendation points, and unlock other ships. Players may also cooperate with other ships and/or test their combat skills against each other in Multi Ship Mode with a maximum of 30 ships playing on a single server. If the game is successful enough, players should be able to download missions and content on a fairly regular basis, possibly even weekly or bi-monthly.
The game(s) will fully emerge players into the world of star trek like never before. The players will each man different positions on the bridge. The living room will literally become the bridge of a starship. Crews will have the opportunity to hail other ships and put their bridge on screen through a webcam interface creating a new venue for trekies of all ages to break out their star fleet uniforms and go where no man has gone before!
Well, we just have to wait for screenies!
I just dont like the name..

Yay! Because what we need is a Star Trek game where you have few buttons and bad graphics! :D

I'm getting it, well once I see gameplay, I don't really care about graphics.
-
Of course you don't, if you own a Wii, you can't care about graphics cause that would be hyporitical. :arms: I can assure you the gameplay will be awkward, I don't recall Picard or anybody for that matter standing around with one arm outstretched all day. Plus, being on a console built primarily for children, you can bet it'll be simplified to yotz and back. Still, I guess if you're a casual gamer, it'll be right up your alley. Though I myself can't understand how you can get immersion from small doses of gameplay.

I found Metroid Prime quite immersive (fire fox spell check doesn't recognize "immersive" as a correct spelling).
Only other game then that was Resident Evil Chronicles or what ever it was called.
You're right about a Majority of Wii games. There are some out there that will surprise you.
Anyways Back on topic.
Star Trek rocks.

Indeed it does, I only hope to see more of this in the future..
