Introducing the Romulan Ael' hlaiim Class Warbird
Designed by: Atolm/Azel
Model/mesh credits: Pepperman
Texture credits: Pepperman
Poly Count: 6175
Texture Maps: Two 1024 x 1024 texture maps
Romulan ships are arguably the most beautiful ships in the known galaxy and the Ael' hlaiim Class Warbird is no exception. This multi-mission orientated vessel is quite capable to deal with situations that would normally require many vessels to complete. As such, she stands ready to serve the Imperium.
Anyone want to set here up for BC just let me know and I can send you the Milkshap file and textures or you can grap it over at Battleclinic and down load it and covert it.

Beautiful ship. Probably will need a texture upgrade but it's absolutely wonderful.

Wow! nice ship.
This looks almost too ornate for a standard Romulan crew.
I could see this being the Praetor's flagship... somthing like a "Romulus One"

nah it would be far to small to be the praetors ship. it is a beautiful design, although i agree with the aforementioned need of a re-texture. as-is its a bit to cartoony. this design reminds me very much of some of nighthawks old ships that were intended for BC2, ala Pdan, Pveer, Pkor (all on BC files)

I'm sure Brian will let you use the textures for BC as well. Just ask him and maybe someone can hardpoint this for you. I would love to see this in BC.

You guys should see the ships of Atolm's that hes done up for Armada. Thats why the textures are the way they are cause 2048 x 2048 textures in Armada just wouldn't be a good idea lol.

doesnt seem like it, when you look at the only window area. seems roughly the size of an NX class, although in different proportions

The name of this ship seemed shockingly familiar cause ZambieZan released a bunch of Post Nemesis Rommie ships and the biggest, baddest one is called a Ael'Halim or summin similar to that.
Anyway, she looks way cool, I think she should be a big wackamole. I wonder if CXP will accept it...

Yeah thats no problem with me though they will have to be adjusted to suit bridge commander me thinks. I am a good bit off of completing them though

Permission has been granted for me to port this ship, and she will be arriving sometime this fall for bridge commander. I am in the early stages of hardpointing - which is going slowly since I'm new at it (and also cuz i'm a college senior :D ) When it's almost done I will update this thread to show the weapon locations and ask for comment.. In the meantime, enjoy:

as another fan of the hyper pretty romulan ships, I hope this comes out compatable.

Hey KMP, I ported this ship and HP'd her a while back for my own use. I can send you the HP and files neccessary to get her in-game. Might speed things up for you.

Just curious: is it suitably scaled against other Fed ships in BC? SFC models are slightly smaller than BC ones.

I believe i found an earlier ported version somewhere on BCfiles...i will tell you it royally sucked.

Nope, its not the same Warbird, although the style is very similar to that of Atolm's designs.

Yes, I remember making that one and Tiqhud setting it up. And yes, it too is one of Atolm's designs...I so love his work.
