Iam curious to know is it possible i can add the ablative armor tecknology that voyager used, on the defiant class starship using the SDK?

*Moved to Modding*
I assume you mean the one in the last 2 episodes of Voyager?
That will require some modelling/texturing at the very least. And you would need to copy the things that made did it for the Voyager mod you mentioned (which I don't know off the top of my head).
-
yes thats the voyager im talking about.
-
There are something in the range of 3 of those mods. :P

If I remember correctly, the dqp is working on a completely modeled voyager endgame armor.
but it's gonna need time ...

He's not interested in that, he wants to add this to the Defiant.
The most basic version would be this:
You have 2 ships, your normal defiant, and a defiant in End Game armour. Then you define MVAM for that ship with only a single seperation ship, the End Game armour version.

i dont understand
-
Normal Defiant ------Armoured Defiant
Do a bucnh of scripting...
Normal Defiant--MVAM--Armoured Defiant
-
What Defiant are you using that dosen't already have ablative armour?

It's not about the script "abl. armor" it's about the visual effect of generating an armor on the hull, that why we need mvam(or ftech?)
-
im using the lints defiant class1.0
-
oh crap, you'll need to make another defiant that looks like it's got ablative armour. it won't work otherwise.
-
You would need to do that anyway.
It's impossible to create a script, or program for that matter, to perform magic.
-
If you figured out the scripting/Mvam side of it, you could always just do a heavy re-texture of my textures to resemble armour, Be much easier than re-modeling the Defiant from scratch, (thats if you know how to texture that is) ;)
-
For the MVAM it's relatively easy, you have nothing to do with positioning ships and subsystem.
-
no i dont know how to texture, i just thought maybe there was a way i could use the SDK to add to it.
-
This is not stock functionality.
Of course, the SDK does provide you with all the building blocks of doing it yourself. ;)
