Post by: Bridger on November 08, 2008, 06:06:52 AM
Hello

I am working on model part that will later be printet out with a 3d polyjet printer. The problem is that i am not very experienced in these things so i need some that can do that.
As a payment for yourwork what would you say if you yould get your bridges or ships as a model :).

Here you can see what has been done until now

U.S.S. Excelsior NX\NCC-2000 are the first project

I hope that you will help me

For the my drawings i used Autocad 2009 but asong you can save you files as stl all can be used.

Thanks Bridger

I tought it worked pretty much as a normal printer, except that it doesn't use COM cables and only accepts CAD files?

I used a 3d printer to prototype a small air-powered car. the cad file first had to be converted into a format the printer could use, AFAIK the software required comes with the printer.
