I don't know how to install this ship and there are no instructions.http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/NX_Agamemnon;96430
I installed this ship and in the game it is surrounded by a white square outlined in red. Thats the beast I can describe it.http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Federation_Brel_Variant;32945

Download nanofx.
-
I downloaded it. I installed the game the1.1 patch and bcmi and then nanofx. Am I missing something else?
-
BCUT and uninstalling BCMI.
-
I installed BCUT and set the root menu to Bridege commander, then installed the foundation, then the two fixes below it. I still have the same problem. I also set the test mode icon.
I remembered something from the past when I had nanofx before on an old computer. Is there supposed to be a toggle under mutators that reads NANOFX? If there is it's not on mine.
-
Not if you have the UMM fix that places NanoFx in a menu.
-
Well I tried all that and the menu changed but no nanofx toggle. Does this mean its not working. Also when I had it before the games opening sequence had nano fx in a borg appearance. I don't have that now. Plus that ship is still surrounded by the white and red square.
-
You do have a mutators menu, but no NanoFX mutator?
Do you have a file called (something like, sorry, can't remember exactly): LoadNanoFXv2Beta.py under scripts/Custom/Autoloads/
-
No I don't believe so. The only one with nanofx in it is nanofix.
-
You should also have a scripts/Custom/NanoFXv2Beta directory. Do you have that?
It might be without the Beta, but certainly with the v2 at the end.
-
I gues thats the problem. I don't have that. What do you suggest?
-
Installing NanoFXv2Beta, and not NanoFX (v1). You can leave NanoFX as it is, you just need to install the second version.

This is what the error message wanted me to send to someone. I was trying to install nanofx v2.o beta. I set the programming path to this: Program Path: C:\Program Files\BCS-TNG\BCUT\BCUT.exe and nanofw v2 beta was un-packed, but, It's not in the game yet. At least the nano toggle isn't. What do I do?

That means its only been unpacked from the BCMI format it was in.
Go to the program path highlighted from your original post to locate the folder marked 'unpack'. Go into that folder and you should find 2 other folders called 'data' and 'scripts'. Copy and paste them to your BC directory and NanoFX2 will then be installed into the game.
If I may say, you seem to be having alot of issues with mods for BC. Can I suggest that you add someones email address to whatever instant messenger you use so that they can help you step by step when you have anymore problems?
Thats what I did and know I can install anything into the game in my sleep, lol.
Don't add me as I am hardly on the computer at any reasonable time.
-
All I can find are folders marked Camera FX, Explosion FX... etc.. Where are the scripts files? I'm not stupid, but, this used to be a whole lot easier.
-
I think I figured this one.
-
Please clarify for future reference.
-
I'm sorry. I meant that I got nanofx installed correctly. I forgot UMM and to reinstall the foundation. It's fine now, Thanks.

The Agamemnon is not a BC ready ship, that is why you cannot install it. it is only a model, and requires scripts, that is why it is in the Public Domain Meshes section and not under Ships.
