Most of this has already been done, but I thought i'd show you. Basically, my College course involves Modelling, Texturing and Animating in Max. Here's a few renders of Argyros, an Android, the centerfold of my project.
-
As said before, looking awesome :D So's the rest of the stuff I've seen on Facebook.
-
Thanks Limey :). I've got the rest of the body done now, going to put up some renders of that soon. Any other comments?

I'm beat. I'm gonna drop modelling and become a poor fisherman now. :P
No seriously, excellent work.
-
Hahaa, thanks man. :) Here's the body. I only did it in like an hour at college today, so it's not even 50% ironed out yet.
EDIT: The Arms look like Legs! I've reworked them, and going to post a render or two later on.
-
Thats a cool start mate :)
eyes look awsome and evil
-
Thanks dude :)
That body has now been totally scraped, She now has more realistic-looking arms (ironic, seeing as she's an Android) and NO legs. I'll post a few Renders up again soon, I keep forgetting.
Oh yeah, and I wuv Mental Ray.
-
This isn't strictly related to my project, but it's helping towards my modelling skills anyway! And... I like aliens.
-
Okay folks, that's this year's College Project Finished! Here's the final video:
Not brilliant, but hopefully my next year's project will be better.
-
=O
Awesome work! What course are you taking?
And, now it seems we finally know who took Earhart to the 37's planet thing. =P
-
Hehe, thanks! :)
The course is just called "E-Media". You can find the basic description here (http://www.amersham.ac.uk/index.cfm?page=COURDETA&id=776).

It's been a long time since I updated this topic, so I thought i'd show you some stuff from my Second Year project. It's going to be a Star Trek related one, and so i'm modelling & texturing a few ships from the Trek Universe. Update 1: The Connie Refit!!! It's only early version stuff (only worked on it today!), so you can expect it to get a whole lot better in the future.
Obviously things still need defining, so before anybody asks, that's why the Nacelles currently look like they do!
-
Ooh, thats good work for something you did today. Looking forward to seeing more. :)
-
Thanks Dalek. :)
Some more renders on the way. I've got the bridge module done and dusted now, going to work more on the Neck.
Edit: Here's the Bridge Module:
-
not a bad endeavour
-
CJLarkin, awesone 3D work :eek
-
Thanks! I'm working on the ST3 Spacedock atm as well, I shall have some renders up soon.
-
Here's some shots of Spacedock, sorry it took so long, other things going on and what not.
-
Another render, this time not Star Trek in the slightest! It's the Star Wars side of things this time. First off, one of the more simplistic of Star Wars stations, the Death Star!
-
Haha, thats awesome. :funny
-
CJ dude, I DARE you to model the incomplete variant [as seen in Return Of The Jedi]
-
oh I want it in BC :D any chance on releasing even plain model ? cuz this is the best DS so far for
BC uh pardon... it would be the best DS for BC ;)
-
Hahaaa, i'm tempted. :D. Well all models are going to be textured and ready to go in that respect, so I may very well export them to BC one day. It all depends on things like the poly count and texture resolution of course. :D
Coming up soon: Enterprise D/A Corridor and a Star Destroyer (DANGEROUSLY incomplete!)
