I believe the design is a large transport primarily civilian. I am going to try my own take at this design and see what i come up with.

Suggestion if you're going for the Standard TOS look, I would push in the front of the um...shaft *Coughs* lol and make a dish out of it then add a Conny TOS Deflector there.

I agree, looking at the link, their is no deflector.. and that would suit for sure. Would you go for a copper type of deflector dish or go blue and glowy like the kelvin?

Then i'd add a buldge on top of it sorta like how the Ship from Galaxy Quest was done for a bridge, with the federation white little glowy top thing on it of course.

Hey Wonderboy, I found a ship that sorta looks like the one you're designing, so it may give you some ideas.
Also I wonder what a TMP version of this would look like...
